The global pharmaceutical packaging market is expected to witness a CAGR of 8% (2012-17) in the coming five years, expected to be fueled by off-patenting of drugs and expansion of the generic market, says a study by Markets & Markets.
This is likely to push packaging solution providers, especially ones with an integrated product line-up, beyond their limits of innovation in meeting global requirements for sustainable packaging, which not just promotes and protects the product but also meets regulatory requirements, said Shabbir Badami, Head - Corporate Marketing, ACG Worldwide.
